Features That Make Pictures Pop
Your camera has lots of great features that enable you to create great pictures. When you shoot in one of the creative modes, you can modify lots of things. If the light is a bit dim and you don't feel like using flash on your subject, you can increase the ISO speed setting. You can also change how the camera meters the scene, and you have lots of options when using a supported flash unit. In short, the sky's the limit when you employ the advanced features of your camera. This chapter brings you up to speed on those advanced features.
Note: The larger dSLR brethren of the SL1/100D have lots of buttons on the outside of the camera. This camera body is compact, with less available real estate for buttons, so many functions and options assigned to buttons on the bigger cameras are instead menu commands on your camera.
