If there is one theme that runs through this chapter it is practice. Practice doesn't have to be a chore; it just means you should take lots of pictures. The pictures in this chapter didn't happen overnight; they came from my years of carrying a camera and viewing the world around me through a frame.

Note

This chapter provides tips that can be used with the entire PowerShot series. If you have a PowerShot that offers you greater manual control of shutter speed or aperture, experiment with them rather than using Scene modes.
