To better understand the Talent Development Capability Model, how you fit in, and how you might apply it, you need to see some of the background research that shaped it. Like with all previous competency models, ATD and its partners conducted extensive research before developing the new model. The competency model project began with a literature review and environmental scan of trends affecting the profession. Interviews with key thought leaders highlighted themes, which echoed the trends uncovered.
