Epilogue

While it has been only two years since the original release of Capitalism at the Crossroads in 2005, much has happened to warrant this second edition. Over the past two years, it has become clear once again that the biggest threat to human life on the planet is not being hit by a cosmic bus (such as an asteroid), or even a super-volcanic eruption (which is long overdue); instead, we humans are our own worst enemy. We continue to find new reasons to hate each other, raising the specter of biological and chemical warfare or worse, nuclear annihilation.
