Many landscape photographers say that light is everything. It illuminates and colors our world and it transforms the mundane to magical. Light can add a spiritual dimension to a scene and engender a deep sense of love of place. Its transformative power is undeniable, yet when magic is in the air, I sometimes fumble to record its sublime wonder. I’m often faced with the opposing feelings of just wanting to watch, and those of capturing the scene. When the confluence of solitude and light combine with inspired compositions, I feel privileged and delighted. It’s when I feel most creative.
