Recommended reading for starting out in practical astronomy and astrophotography

Bibliography

Very few books on astrophotography include a bibliography. I do not know why and, for such a diverse subject, it makes no sense, as this is such a collaborative hobby.

Astronomy and Astrophotography:

  • Steve Richards, Making Every Photo Count, Self Published, 2011

    This is a popular book that introduces digital astrophotography to the beginner. It is now in its second edition and has been updated to include modern CCD cameras. The emphasis is on using digital SLRs.
