Using Numbers to Model Opportunities
Our exploration of the practical side of opportunity management has so far not used any statistics. After the initial risk management planning stage, we discovered how to find opportunities and describe them clearly, and how to pick winners with a range of prioritisation techniques. On some projects, we will now have enough information to start planning and implementing responses to these opportunities, alongside the threats. But the risk challenge on other projects may demand a more in-depth analysis of the combined effect of risks on project outcomes.
