Because of the complex nature of modern corporate activities, teamwork has become an increasingly essential element of workplace performance and productivity. Teamwork involves a group of people working together in an interdependent fashion to achieve a common goal. High-performance teamwork involves the application of principles and procedures related to activities such as setting goals, building trusts, specifying roles, giving feedback, challenging assumptions, and supporting one another. In the flat world, increased global networks and improved collaboration technologies are rapidly changing the nature of corporate teamwork.
