In a recent agro mela in a village near Delhi, the main attraction was small car giant Maruti and the Korean Daewoo much to the surprise of many participants. Stalls selling soaps, detergents and radios no longer hold the interest of rural buyers, who have shifted gear. And market men with drive are pushing their products in the dusty outback.
