CHAPTER 21Where Do You Go from Here?
Now that you have an overhead view of what I think the industry is going to look like over the next few years, let's take a deeper look at the markets and leave you with some actionable information that can help you navigate this new frontier. Let's do a bit of a review first. Some of the most dominant crypto assets on the market at time of writing, are Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), Cardano (ADA), Ripple (XRP), and Polygon (MATIC), as they tend to spend a lot of time in the top 10 or 20 of the market cap list. I believe that these assets have had tremendous staying power in the crypto markets because they have strong communities, offer legitimate utility, and have skilled developers. Bitcoin and Ethereum have both established themselves as pillars of the industry, and we have covered them at length in these pages, but there are a few other projects that have also shown that they are here to stay. Binance is the leading exchange in the world, and it has its own token BNB, which has a variety of different utilities.1 BNB can be used for transaction fees on the Binance Smart Chain network similar to gas on the Ethereum network, but it can also be used for trading discounts on the Binance exchange and it can even be spent using a Binance credit card.
