The previous section focused on the analysis of means with weighted least squares. Weighted least squares analysis can be performed for many different types of response functions composed from the proportions in a contingency table. The simplest of these is the response proportions themselves, which are analyzed in this section. In addition, the capability of the CATMOD procedure to fit nested models is demonstrated.
