Core and Aggregation Layer Infrastructure Design

The three layer data center design is as follows:

  • Core layer: Composed of the high-speed packet-switching backplane
  • Aggregation layer: Provides service module integration, Layer 2 domain definitions, spanning-tree processing, and default gateway redundancy
