In this section, you will perform commands on a Cisco router that will help you understand what you learned in this chapter.
You'll need at least one Cisco router—two would be better, three would be outstanding. The hands-on labs in this section are included for use with real Cisco routers. All of these labs work with the Cisco Packet Tracer router simulator. Lastly, for the CCENT, it doesn't matter what series type router you use with these labs (i.e., 2500, 2600, 800, 1800, or 2800).
It is assumed that the router you're going to use has no current configuration present. If necessary, erase any existing configuration with Hands-on Lab 4.1; otherwise, proceed to Hands-on Lab 4.2.
