Comparing IGPs
Organizations have several options when choosing an IGP for their enterprise network, but most companies today use either OSPF or EIGRP. This book discusses OSPF in some depth, with the ICND2 book discussing more about OSPF and also introducing EIGRP. While these books will compare and contrast these most common IGPs, this section first discusses some of the main goals of every IGP, comparing OSPF, EIGRP, plus a few other IPv4 routing protocols.
