Named IP Access Lists
Named IP ACLs have many similarities with numbered IP ACLs. They can be used for filtering packets, plus for many other purposes. And just like there are both standard and extended numbered ACLs that differ in regards to what packets each can match, there are also standard and extended named ACLs.
Named ACLs originally had three big differences compared to numbered ACLs:
