Password Recovery for ACS on NT

If you lose your password for ACS running on NT, you can recover it by editing the NT Registry. Remember to back up the NT Registry before completing this task.

For earlier versions of ACS, you can modify the requirement for local login using a username and password in the NT Registry. You can search for and change the allowAutoLocalLogin key to 1 by using the regedit utility. This allows local login, but do not forget to recycle the services.

For later ACS versions, 2.6 and 3.0, you can use the regedit utility to remove the users in the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco\CiscoAAA##\CSAdmin\Administrators
