How to Simulate a Break Key Sequence
This section is included in case your terminal emulator does not support the Break key or if a bug prevents it from sending the correct signal, as with old versions of Hyperterminal running under Windows NT:
Step 1. | Connect your terminal or a PC with terminal emulation to your router with the following terminal settings:
1200 baud rate
No parity
8 data bits
1 stop bit
No flow control
You should not see any output on your screen unless you have previously changed your router's console port to these settings. |
Step 2. | Power-cycle your router by turning it off and then back on. |
Step 3. | Press the Spacebar for 10 to 15 seconds to generate a signal similar to the Break sequence. |
