Chapter 4. Cisco Unity
Cisco Unity provides voice mail and unified messaging capabilities and can support many thousands of users. With Unity, subscribers can access voice mail, e-mail, and fax using a PC or a phone.
Unity integrates with Cisco CallManager as well as a variety of legacy PBX systems. It also has the capability to integrate with other Unity systems and more traditional voice mail solutions. The capability to integrate with PBX and voice mail systems allows a relatively smooth transition to IP telephony.
