Network Address Translation (NAT)

The CCNA exam topics covered in this chapter include the following:

  • Implement, verify, and troubleshoot NAT and ACLs in a medium-size Enterprise branch office network
    • Explain the basic operation of NAT.
    • Configure NAT for given network requirements (including CLI/SDM).
    • Troubleshoot NAT issues.

In this chapter, I am going to give you the skinny on Network Address Translation (NAT), Dynamic NAT, and Port Address Translation (PAT), also known as NAT Overload.
