Disabling VTP
VTP supports two other modes that provide different levels of disabling VTP:
VTP transparent mode works in subtle ways, and is most useful when an engineer wants to use VTP for some switches, and not use VTP for others.
VTP off mode is straightforward, disabling VTP completely, and makes more sense when the engineer does not want to use VTP on any of the switches in the LAN.
