This section provides an overview of the Cisco “SAFE: Extending the Security Blueprint to Small, Midsize, and Remote-User Networks” (SAFE SMR) secure management and reporting design specification.
The principal goal of SAFE is to provide best-practice information on designing and implementing secure networks. The SAFE SMR specification contains design and implementation information that is specific to the management and reporting portion of your network. The SAFE blueprint refers to the design of the management and reporting systems as the “management module.”
