Creating Workflows and Activities

This section introduces and explains the concepts of the user workflow within Router MC, along with activities and jobs.

Workflow Tasks

In Router MC, all device management and configuration tasks must be done within the context of an activity. The basic user workflow tasks for most functions are as follows:

• Task 1: Create an activity— All router management and VPN configuration must be done within the context of an activity. When you create an activity, you prepare a proposal to create or change VPN configurations on specific devices. This proposal must be approved before configurations can be deployed to the routers.
