Dial Plans
Introduction
A dial plan, or a “route plan,” in a PBX environment involves creating rules that dictate which phones can, for example, call long distance and which trunks should be used to place a particular call. You also must create route plans in the CCM environment. In addition, your CCM configuration allows you to limit calls. For example, perhaps you do not want employees making long-distance calls. You can restrict those types of calls using partitions and calling search spaces.
