This section reviews MGCP gateways and how they provide public switched telephone network (PSTN) access for the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CM).
Endpoint Identifiers
The endpoint identifier is a two-part identifier. A local name and the domain name separated by the at (@) sign. If there is a hierarchy in the local name, a forward slash (/) is used in the name. Figure 4-1 shows the use of the identifiers.
