Governing the Enterprise Architecture
Our primary concern in this chapter is the governance of the enterprise architecture as opposed to how the EA assists in the governance of other enterprise processes. The interaction of EA and the enterprise business processes are discussed in Chapter 10.
The purpose of EA governance—that is, the control and oversight of the EA—is to ensure that the EA development, implementation, and maintenance practices are being followed, and to remedy any situations or circumstances where they are not and action is warranted.
