Capability Viewpoint

Because different architecture frameworks deal with representing the elements of enterprise strategy differently, we present an abstract view of strategy that may vary in the specifics across different frameworks. For example, in the DoDAF, strategy is reflected in the CV-1: Vision, which ties the capability requirements to the enterprise vision and goals. In the FEAF2 strategy is represented explicitly in the strategic sub-architecture domain. In the TOGAF, strategy is part of the business architecture, albeit first addressed during the Vision Phase (A) of the ADM.
