Architecture and Main Components of Glance

Chapter 3 touched on the Keystone service that acts as a catalog of other OpenStack services. This chapter covers one of the services that always exists in almost all OpenStack installations. The name of this service is Glance, and its purpose is to act as an “Images-as-a-Service” provider. First, let’s deconstruct Glance to its particular components. Have a look at Figure 4-1.
