THINK AGAIN OF THE kinds of changes we all face in life. Some are irreversible, like growing old. Some occur around us because other people make decisions, like setting out to reorganize a business. Still others happen because natural shifts occur—children leave home, new projects we are working on get old and have to be replaced, we get older and have to change some of our living patterns. And, of course, we often make decisions to change—to marry, to move to a new place, to change our work or job.
