9 CASE STUDIES
The case studies in this chapter form a hypothetical account of three different levels of maturity for the role of technical change manager. They are snapshots along a continuum of endless possibilities for variation and are intended to show that change management is not all or nothing but a continual work in progress, and some is better than none. The aim here is to pull together exemplars of some of the topics discussed in this guide, breathing life into the words.
All are fictional, created with inspiration from a blend of personal experience – both inside and outside change management – observations, consultation and optimism. Any resemblance to actual persons, events or circumstances is purely coincidental.
