Why a National Debate?
The Draft National Perspective Plan for Women (1988 to 2000 AD) was drawn up after a noticeable lack of interaction with the very section of population for whose development this document was prepared. We, the Conveners of 7 women’s organisations, held this debate to inform ourselves and groups across the country about the content and the implications of the Plan. One hundred and fifty concerned persons from all over the country took active part in the debate.
