Memorandum from the National Women’s Organizations to the National Commission for Women

We welcome the decision of the Commission to have a full day dialogue with us for determining the Commission’s priorities in the coming years. From the beginning of the debate on the need for a statutory national commission for women we had visualised close cooperation between women’s organizations and the Commission in women’s struggle to remove existing inequalities and aspects of national policy that erode or destroy women’s rights. We hope such meetings and dialogues will be aregular feature of the functioning of the Commission.
