Introduction
A meeting was held in the Planning Commission on 10th of November 1980 to discuss issues relating to Science and Technology for women and the problems of women scientists. The meeting recommended inter-alia that a Working Group on Personnel Policies for Bringing Greater Involvement of Women in Science and Technology may be set up under the Chairmanship of Prof. Nurul Hasan,Vice President.
