The Question of Reservation of Seats for Women in Legislative Bodies
7.102 Before we take up our recommendations we have to record our views on a suggestion to which we have given considerable thought. In the course of our tours we received a demand from groups of women in some States for a system of reservation for women in the legislative bodies in the States and in Parliament. We summarise their arguments below:-
