Getting Started

Even though CINEMA 4D is very easy to use and, compared to other 3D software packages, very intuitive, it is still very complex. Just the explanation of all the options, functions, tools, and objects would fill several books. The continuously increasing content of the CINEMA 4D manuals and the growing number of modules show this.

This book is not meant to be a replacement for the manual. Instead it enables us to quickly get started with the software and to get used to the main functions for everyday use.

We will cover all relevant areas of CINEMA 4D. This includes the different types of objects, tools, materials, lighting, animation, and rendering. By the end of the book you should be well prepared for future projects.
