2.5 Defining Surfaces with Shaders
We briefly talked about what a shader is. They are integrated programs in CINEMA 4D that can portray multiple aspects of a surface.
There are different pattern generators, along with more complex shaders that can simulate translucent materials or the refraction on smooth surfaces.
Due to the large number of shaders and, in some cases, their abundance of properties and options, we will restrict our focus to, in my opinion, the most important shader.
We will need to reconstruct a few materials in order to learn their use with practical examples and to get to know their combination possibilities.
