In the following exercise, we will look at an overview of the modeling process for creating a character head. On the accompanying DVD, you will find video tutorials covering the creation of important elements of the head model. The first thing to consider is that, when creating a symmetrical character, you only need create half the model and let a Symmetry object complete the task. There are many ways to model a head, including point-by-point modeling using background images and multiple views to match on all planes. For this model, we’ll simply start with a cube.
