Whether the title is chief information officer (CIO), chief technology officer (CTO), vice president or director of information systems (or vice president of “anything technical”), the job is vital and difficult.^[2] CIOs deal with sophisticated technical issues such as rapidly changing software packages, platforms, and standards.
