The network has become the critical foundation for all of today’s communications. The Internet and cloud technologies all require the network to have little to no downtime. As such, network redundancy is critical.
This increased demand on switched networks has made it a priority to design redundant and scalable switched and routed networks. Redundant switched networks have multiple uplinks to each other to help eliminate a single source of failure.
