CHAPTER 8. Implementing the EIGRP
Introduction
Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) is a proprietary, advanced distance vector routing protocol that an individual with a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification needs to be able to implement in a network infrastructure. Unlike Routing Information Protocol v2 (RIPv2) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), EIGRP will only be used on networks with Cisco equipment. Although EIGRP requires Cisco equipment, it does not require the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to be used.
