Chapter 7Firepower Licensing and Registration
At this point, you have the Firepower software running and the management interface configured. You are ready to begin the next steps: installing the licenses, enabling the Firepower features, and registering FTD with the FMC. The registration process takes place through an encrypted tunnel that is established between the management interfaces of the FMC and FTD. You cannot, however, register FTD with the FMC unless the FMC is licensed. This chapter shows you all the necessary steps for an initial deployment.
