This chapter covers the Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP) feature and its supported use on Frame Relay networks. RSVP is a signaling QoS feature that provides Call Admission Control to allow end systems or hosts located on either side of a network to establish a reserved-bandwidth path between them. In such a way, the quality of service (QoS) for real-time applications between the end systems is ensured.
