It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

This command enables Stateful NAT, providing failover capabilities. For a complete explanation, see the NAT section in Chapter 13.

id-number A unique number given to the stateful translation group.

redundancyname Establishes HSRP as the method for redundancy.

primaryip-primary Manually sets the IP address of the primary router.

backupip-backup Manually sets the IP address of the backup router.

peerip-peer Manually sets the IP address of the peer router in the translation group.

mapping-idmap-number Specifies whether the local stateful NAT translation router will distribute a set of locally created entries to the peer SNAT router.
