Designing the Logical Topology
The logical topology defines the communication process between the devices and the shape that these communication flows form. This section covers some noteworthy logical topologies. With the exception of the star topology, you will rarely, if ever, encounter these in the real world. As a point of comparison to the star and from a historical perspective, they are still worth exploring. Included in this section is a special topology that is physically one topology and logically another!
MORE TOPOLOGIES
The most common logical topologies are covered in this section. For more information on both logical and physical topologies, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_topology.
