So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Maybe we’re all just being greedy. Fifteen years ago most people didn’t even have an e-mail account. Few had ever connected to the Internet. Five years ago everyone you know probably had an e-mail account; in some cases it was the only way you communicated with them. Then came wireless networking, because those e-mails couldn’t wait until the end of the meeting, so we had wireless throughout our workplace and home.
Now, not even this is good enough. We want to connect at the park, or while waiting in line at the DMV, or while on a city bus, or while camped out on a curb waiting for a parade to start. In other words, we want to be connected now, now, now ...
