MTR

MTR stands for Matt's Traceroute or My Traceroute depending on who you talk to. I prefer the first because it gives credit to the original author of the tool. MTR was originally authored by Matt Kimball. Many developers have contributed to the design and functionality since its creation. Roger Wolff now maintains the distribution. MTR combines the functionality of both the traceroute and the PING tools.
