Understanding CSA Groups
The CSA product uses groups as a mechanism to simplify management. Groups enable you to place policy controls and set agent configuration parameters to a number of agents without the need to granularly apply the settings. Groups also allow for a consistent configuration to be deployed across the environment. Hosts are required to participate in at least one group from which they will inherit various settings and policy controls. The hosts are not limited to participating in a single group, however. Hosts can belong to several groups at the same time, with the various settings and policies attached to the respective groups being merged into a host-specific policy on the endpoint.
