Troubleshooting
In this book, we have covered a substantial amount of Day 0 (initial setup or turn-up) procedures. However, there are times when things don’t go as planned and troubleshooting becomes necessary. In this appendix, we explore some of the major topics and techniques used to troubleshoot issues in ThousandEyes.
Collect Logs
When gathering log data from a ThousandEyes agent, you can find the logs in the following directory. This applies to all types of agents except for the Virtual Appliance (a VM containing a prebuilt Enterprise Agent), for which logs can be found in the Status page.
/var/log/agent/te-agent.log
From the ThousandEyes Virtual Appliance proceed to the Status section upon login.
