Caching
There are two types of caching when storing media files on a VXML Gateway: the IVR Media Player cache and the HTTP client cache. As mentioned earlier, the HTTP client cache stores media files downloaded from a HTTP server. In nonstreaming mode the entire media file is downloaded and stored in the HTTP client cache before it is played by the IVR Media Player. However, in streaming mode, the first chunk of the media file is stored inside the HTTP client and IVR cache. All subsequent chunks of the file are saved in the IVR cache-only.
