Following are the most frequently asked questions and answers about the HTTP client, the IVR Media Player, and their interaction with media files on the VXML Gateway:

What are the proper sizes for configuring the HTTP Client cache and the IVR cache memory pools?

For normal operations, the default sizes, 10 Mb for the HTTP client cache and 2 Mb for the IVR cache, should be sufficient to support a VXML Gateway playing a light load of prompts. If the VXML Gateway is constantly under a heavy load of calls with many audio prompt requests, it is recommend to use higher numbers for these two memory pools, such as 20 Mb to 30 Mb for the HTTP client cache, and a full 16 Mb for the IVR cache.
