A global perspective of laws regarding computer crime
Legal systems around the world have evolved over the millennia and vary greatly. Following is a brief overview of the major types of legal systems and where they are currently in use.
The codified law system
The codified law system, also called the civil law system, is based on rules defined in a written codex, a book of law. This form of legal system was first identified in approximately 2100 BC in Mesopotamia (modern Iraq) and continues in use today.
